Each beautifully designed medal is stamped in heavy gauge bronze and finished in a heavy silver plating that is thick enough to be engraved. The medals are rubbed with a soft patina to give them the distinct 'Py look.'
The Marriage or Engagement medal comes in a jewelry box with a 24" chain.
Symbols – bottom of medal chi-rho (PX) the 1st two letters for the Greek spelling for Christ. Set on the inset of the “X” is alpha and the omega symbols. These are the 1st and last letters of the Greek alphabet and symbolize that Christ is the beginning and the end.
Above that, there are 2 turtle doves preparing to drink from the fountain of life.
